WORKOUTS & MUSIC 1

One of my KEY components to working out is my music selection and so I'm curious as to what other people listen to for that heart rate and adrenaline to go up. Studies have shown that people have more energy and better workouts when they tune out the world and start jamming to their fave artists. So I picked my brother, a future physique competitor, personal trainer, Derek a.k.a. D RocK and asked him what his favorite tracks were when hes working out and going for that PR on bench press. He prefers old school high tempo tracks that make you nod your head and put you in the zone. So I give you his top ten 10. Big Daddy Kane - Set It Off 9. Snoop Dogg - Pump Pump 8. Rakim - Follow The Leader 7. Rakim - Juice 6. Rakim - Dont Sweat The Technique 5. NWA - Appetite For Destruction 4. Big Daddy Kane - Nuff Respect Due 3. Connie - Rock Me 2. Kraftwerk - Tour De France 1. Paul Hartcastle - Rainforest And he said for corny measures put Joe Budden - Pump it Up in the ...

Governors Cup Physique Comp 13

Governors Cup Came and went. Mannnnnn I did 4 1/2 clean eating and worked out pretty tough for this one. I had bulked up to 186lbs. and shredded down to 172lbs. thinking it would be like my last comp. The guy who took overall was shredded and weighed a buck 60, if that. WRONG!! The guys on stage this time were all 180s-190s so that was quite the gamble. I was pretty cut up but slim. Also day of I carbed up way to late and not enough. Lesson LEARNED!!!! Overall I still placed 6th over all out of 27 dudes who worked their asses off. Not bad at all. And I still got first call outs. I met some cool cats and learned some good lessons that day! Cant wait to get back into my next show. TOP SIX FIRST CALL OUTS SO NIGHT OF I WAS PRETTY SHREDDED due to a strict dieting plan by my coach Kenny Tali. It was mentally tough guys. I wanted cakes and pies and pasta and milkshakes and all that. But its worth it in the end. Trust me. Willpower and dedication with a strong team will take you to the nex...

BOOTCAMPS IN SAN FRANCISCO

Soooo last spring when I was working at 24 Hour fitness I decided to throw bootcamps at night just for fun and to get an extra sweat in.Anyone was welcome. Soon after I began seeking other bootcamps to participate in to learn different styles and what not. Fast forward to summer of 12 and I see this post about a bootcamp in Golden Gate park. First Person that greeted me was Krissy of BAMFIT and Rise Above Fitness who alot of people in the SOcial Media world might know as KMaeCAgs. I didnt know she was "WHO SHE WAS!" She was just cool as hell with Jedi Tattoos. I thought she was the dopeness just for that. Long story short, she knows what shes doing. She makes bootcamps fun as hell, has a huge following so you get characters to show up. Ive made some good friends there as well and met some weirdos LMAO!!! Any time shes in your area (She Travels A LOT!!) I highly recommend you go! Cant lose.
